Introduction

Invisible Wind Factory is a warehouse complex housing; a performance venue, rehearsal space, workshop and artists studios. It continues the tradition of the Kazimier Club, producing in-house shows and unique events as well as hosting national and international touring acts from across the spectrum of music, theatre, performance and entertainment.

Venue Description 

The main venue entrance is on Regent Road. Our box office is street level, there are 8 steps with a handrail into the main space, which is then through two sets of double doors. For wheelchair users unable to climb this amount of steps, we have wheelchair access through our back fire exit which leads into our garden, and then up a ramp into the main space. Door staff / venue staff will be on hand to help wheelchair users with access into the venue. Please contact the venue in advance to arrange this and to let us know you will require some assistance with entering the venue.

 

Our substation is currently not accessible.

 

Toilets

On site we have 3 toilet blocks, two in the workshop area of the venue and one outside in our garden. We also have one toilet backstage. The indoor toilets are on ground level but are not fully accessible for wheelchair users as the doors are not wide enough for wheelchairs. We do not currently have a fully accessible toilet, but if we are informed before hand we can liaise with our neighbouring venues who have accessible toilets and arrange for this to be used during the event.

 

PA Tickets

A PA Ticket is a free ticket made available to a disabled person who has purchased their own ticket who needs to bring someone to assist them (a ‘PA’) in order to attend. If you require a PA ticket please contact us directly in advance for guest-list allocation for a free PA ticket.

 

Accessible Seating  

If you require seating whilst in the venue, please contact us in advance so we can arrange for a seat to be allocated upon your arrival in a designated area with a view of the stage.

 

Strobe Lighting 

Strobe lighting is used in most of our shows, please contact us in advance to find out whether strobe lights will be used in the specific show/performance you are planning to attend.

 

Travel 

There is free on street parking on the streets surrounding our venue, Regent Street, Regent Road and Carlton Street. The nearest train stations are moorfields (1 mile) and Sandhills (1.2 Miles).

 

 

KAZIMIER GARDEN

Introduction

The Kazimier Gardens is an outdoor bar and live music venue in Liverpool City Centre. The Kazimier Gardens complex is also home to the Stockroom music venue, OUTPUT gallery, and Total Recall Vintage, but this Venue Access guide focuses on the Stockroom alone.

Venue Description

The Kazimier Gardens has level access from its entrance on Seel Street, and level access through the space and to the bar. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom behind the bar, use of which can be requested by speaking to bar staff. The elevation down to the bathroom is steep, so people will have to be assisted down and back up – if you are not here with a friend, bar staff are happy to assist. The floor of the Kazimier Gardens is gravel, and some seating is raised onto small platforms around the edge of the space, but the seating in the centre is at ground level. There is either music on a PA system or live music. We do not have a hearing loop. Venue opening times vary according to season and weather, so please check our Instagram @kazimiergarden and Facebook page for live updates.

 

Travel Guide

There is parking on Seel Street directly outside of the gallery and Kazimier Gardens, and the nearest public transport stops are on Hanover St with buses 80, 80A, 82, 75, 86, 86A, 86C, a 2-3 minute walk away from the Gardens entrance.

Arrival Guide

There is level access from Seel Street, and when the Kazimier Gardens is open there are no doors to pass – just an open archway.

 

Toilets

There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom behind the bar, use of which can be requested by speaking to bar staff. The elevation down to the bathroom is steep, so people will have to be assisted down and back up – if you are not here with a friend, bar staff are happy to assist.

 

Customers with Medical Requirements

Kazimier Stockroom is a small venue putting on various events including live music, theatre, dance, film screenings and private parties. The Stockroom is part of the Kazimier Gardens complex which also includes the Kazimier Gardens bar, OUTPUT gallery, and Total Recall Vintage.

Venue Description

Kazimier Stockroom can only be accessed via the Kazimier Gardens, which is an open-air bar. If you head through Kazimier Gardens, which has level flooring, the Stockroom is at the back inside the neighbouring building and can be accessed via 4 steps to get up to the space. There is no hearing loop. There is only seating on some occasions depending on the nature of the event – but seating can be requested by emailing ahead. There can be strobe lighting depending on the event listing, which will be specified on the chalk board outside.

The Stockroom is no longer wheelchair accessible due a recent health and safety review, but we are currently consulting architects to try and change access to the space to make it more inclusive – apologies and please bear with us while we try to make this happen.

Most events are not directed or produced by the Kazimier Stockroom and are touring in the space.  If you would like to inquire about access facilities, please email and we can either answer or put you in touch with producers who might be able to offer specific access support such as interpreters.

Arrival Guide

The Stockroom is open for events only. Head through the Kazimier Gardens and the entrance to the Stockroom is to the left of the bar, and up 4 steps. There is another door to access which is manned during events.

 

Toilets

There are toilets next to the Kazimier Stockroom including cubicles and urinals. Although the Stockroom is not wheelchair accessible, Kazimier Gardens does have a wheelchair accessible bathroom behind the bar that can be requested by speaking to bar staff. We apologise again that the Stockroom is not wheelchair accessible, but we are currently working with consultants to change the exits and entrances to make this a more inclusive venue.

 

OUTPUT GALLERY

Introduction

OUTPUT is a small gallery based on Seel St in Liverpool City Centre. The gallery shows work by artists from or based in Merseyside, and is operates with some funding from Arts Council England.

Venue Description

 The front door is heavy and there is a bell to request access. The front door is o[en le[ open except in bad weather. Then, there are 4 steps to get up to the space which has a small vintage shop at the front and a single gallery space in the back. Someone will be at the shop desk in the front if you need their attention or assistance 11-6pm every day. Toilets

We share bathroom facilities with the Kazimier Gardens bar next door which has a wheelchair accessible toilet behind the bar – for use of the facilities, please ask at the bar for assistance because the ramp down is uneven and fairly steep. OUTPUT is open 11-6pm every day and 6-9pm for openings, but the Kazimier Gardens has varying opening times depending on the season and weather. Visitors who use wheelchairs will have to leave OUTPUT from the front door and go into the Kazimier Gardens to reach these.
